Fine Lines And Wrinkles

Lines and wrinkles are a normal part of aging. When we get older, our skin’s collagen and elastin fibers do not work as efficiently as they were and your skin’s top layer can start to lose firmness.

Using an effective SPF 50 every day, even in the winter, will help to protect the skin barrier. When our skin is exposed to the sun it is damaged and this can cause fine lines. Dehydrated skin often leads to wrinkles, by keeping your skin hydrated at all times with an effective eye and face cosmeceutical cream can slow the aging process.

Fine lines and wrinkles show as creases in the skin around the eyes, the forehead, and from the nose to the sides of the mouth. Often the jawline also softens with age, with the skin starting to sag and appear loose.

Lines and wrinkles are caused by a number of reasons such as:

  • Natural Aging
  • Sun exposure. Long-term UV exposure can result in reducing skin elasticity and degradation of skin texture
  • Smoking can accelerate the normal aging process of your skin, contributing to wrinkles. This may be due to changes in the blood supply to your skin.
  • Repeated facial expressions such as frowning, smiling or lifting up the forehead muscles in surprise, wrinkles are likely to form and set in those locations.

Recommended Treatments

Morpheus8 for stretch marks is a needling treatment that uses radiofrequency energy and fractional treatments to remodel the body’s collagen and heat the deepest layers of the skin. This helps tighten the skin, increases skin elasticity, boosts collagen production, and smooths lines and wrinkles. Find out more.

At House of Aesthetics we have various injectable treatments performed by highly experienced doctors which deliver immediate results to target fine lines, wrinkles and contour facial features.

The DermaPen is made up of two parts:

  • A disposable medical grade stainless steel needle tip that has twelve microscopic needles
  • An electric hand piece.

The needle cartridge clicks into the handpiece and oscillates 110 revolutions per second and makes tiny punctures of the skin surface. The depth can have a range from 0.2mm to 2mm so treatment can be tailored to each person. To treat stretch marks the DermaPen can be set to penetrate 2mm deep.

When the needles penetrate the skin this causes minor trauma, initiating an immune response, leading to the creation of new and healthy collagen. A cocktail of rich and nourishing nutrients are also introduced into the deep layer of the skin through the punctures. DermaPen does not cause dermal tearing. Find out more.
