Dermapen® microneedling utilises small needles to puncture the skin in order to generate micro tears. These micro tears then trigger a natural healing response from the body which then encourages skin rejuvenation and repair. As the skin heals itself, skin collagen levels and elastin are produced and help plumpen the skin area.
Dermapen® is ideal for improving skin appearance (such as acne, scars and wrinkles), improving skin tone and texture, reducing the appearance of pores and also helps with the increased absorption of related skin products.
Dermapen® has delivered proven and reliable results for clients looking to remove skin conditions and issues such as stretch marks, acne scars, large facial pores, sun damage and signs of aging. Most patients can see results within 4-6 weeks.
House of Aesthetics is situated on Bromley High Street, South East London, just a 15-minute train journey from Victoria Station. It’s easily accessible by both train and car, with convenient parking available at the nearby Glades Shopping Centre.
Our experienced team of practitioners & medical professionals delivers personalised solutions in six spacious treatment rooms.
There are many benefits to introducing Dermapen® microneedling into your beauty regime. They include :
Reduction of superficial wrinkles on your face and lips.
Improvement in your overall skin tone and texture.

Increased absorption of products you use.
Improvement of skin texture.
Reduce the appearance of your stretch marks.
Does Dermapen® hurt?
Anytime “needles” are mentioned it brings up connotations of pain and hurt. However, dermapen treatment is surprisingly pain-free. Our experienced practitioners apply a topical anesthetic to the area to relieve any potential pain during the treatment.
Is Dermapen® safe?
Yes. Dermapen is a medically tested and approved treatment that has been undertaken thousands of times in London alone. Importantly, Dermapen treatment does not pierce the skins natural barrier but instead the epidermis and dermis in order to encourage further collagen production (the epidermis and dermis usually heal within a few hours).
How long does it take to see results?
Most clients will see results almost immediately after treatment, usually in the form of plumper and smoother skin. However, this does differ on a client by client basis – your practitioner will be able to advise on how long your treatment may take.
How does Dermapen microneedling work?
Dermapen Microneedling, is a motorised piston driven, more precise and improved version of the traditional Derma Roller. It uses 12 tiny ultra-thin surgical steel needles which go up and down thousands of times per second to create micro tears skin.
With topical anesthetic there is virtually no discomfort and with the tiny wounds healing rapidly so downtime is minimal—one day or even less.
What exactly is microneedling?
Microneedling is a form of collagen induction therapy. It utilises the use of a hand held device containing tiny needles and the use of serum cosmeceuticals “active ingredients”.The process involves making tiny micro channels using the needles on the skin to facilitate a pathway for the deeper penetration of products directly to the skin cells responsible for boosting collagen and elastin and therefore minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improving the overall appearance of the skin.
Can microneedling be done under the eyes?
Yes – it is one of the few treatments that can be done in clinic by a practitioner to treat the delicate skin under the eyes. The depth of penetration of the needles is adjusted on the device as the skin under the eye is delicate and sensitive but the principle of boosting collagen and elastin in a targeted delivery system to affected skin cells under the eyes is the same and over time the fine lines under and around the eyes becomes more refined and less puffy and therefore improving the overall appearance to the skin under the eyes.
What’s the difference between Dermapen and Dermaroller?
Unlike the Dermal Roller you can set the penetration depth of the needles from 0.2 – 2.5mm which puts you in control of the results you want to achieve.
You can also treat different areas at different depths to really tailor the treatment to your skin.
Dermapen can also reach more areas then the Derma Roller and being motorised leaves you with a more even treatment.
Better results are also achieved due the needles going straight up and down leaving neater more consistent micro tears.
The dermal roller rolls over the skin leaving larger uneven trenches which can lead to larger pores. See the video above for a clip explaining the difference.
