What is the Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel?

The Cosmelan Peel/Depigmentation Peel is an innovative treatment that utilises a two-phased approach to remove dark patches caused by melanin deposits. First, it deactivates a critical enzyme in the production of melanin responsible for the formation of dark spots. Secondly, it combines a proprietary blend of bleaching agents and botanical ingredients to remove existing excess pigment deposits.

The Cosmelan peel is suitable with all skin types and colours and can be used annually because of its very high safety margin.

Cosmelan can be used on the face and body. It effectively treats: pigmentation, melasma, sun spots & post-acne marks

Full treatment & one-month homecare regime £950

Frequently asked questions

How does Cosmelan work?

Cosmelan depigmentation treatment is delivered in two phases: the first stage consists of the application of Cosmelan I, a mask which you wear home and keep on from 10-12 hours, depending on your skin type as determined by the practitioner. The mask is then washed off.

The second treatment stage involves daily application of a maintenance cream called Cosmelan 2, containing botanical acids that support the depigmentation achieved.

After the procedure, you may experience different sensations including warm flushing and inflammation to slight itching and tightness of the skin. To maintain the best results a strict homecare guideline of products must be followed.

How many treatments will I need?

Most clients experience a visible reduction in the appearance of unwanted pigmentation following just one session. To deliver long-lasting results, it is recommended to use a regime of specific homecare products.

What types of pigmentation can be treated?

All types of pigmentation can be effectively treated with the Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel, including hormonal pigmentation such as Melasma.

Are there any side effects of Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel?

There are no major side effects with Cosmelan though our clients do sometimes experience minor skin issues such as redness, dryness, discomfort and some skin peeling. Our team will be able to advise natural remedies to help keep your skin comfortable if you encounter these side effects.

Does Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel hurt?

The procedure itself is not painful, however your skin will feel hot, tingly and uncomfortable following treatment and each time you apply the homecare treatment. You will also experience skin peeling during the homecare period.
